Maria G. Rodriguez was born April 7th 1970 in Mexico. She moved to Walla Walla on Spetember of 1990. She and her husband, Hector, have four children. Ever since she was a child she was interested in the caring for children and would offer around to babysit neighborhood children without anything in return just because she wanted to enjoy and spend time with them.
When she moved to Walla Walla she began to attend community college to take English and classes to prepare her to work with children, which was always her dream. Maria began to work for Head start. She has been working at the Early Learning Center for about 14 years and is a bilingual teacher.
Maria believes that working with kids is not just her job but her opportunity of happiness. It is a blessing for her to see a smile or a happy face. Maria continues to take classes at the college with the purpose of helping children in their educational and emotional development. She wants to help families feel that the ELC can be their second home.
