Assumption Home & School is a volunteer parent organization that aims to enhance the overall educational experience for students and staff. We also facilitate and/or support school fundraising efforts and coordinate many of the volunteer opportunities available at the school. (Similar in many ways to a traditional Parent-Teacher Organization/PTA.) To do this, we rely heavily on parent participation! We welcome your involvement and encourage your participation in Assumption Home & School!

Meetings
Assumption Home & School meets on the first Monday of the month in the Assumption Teachers Lounge from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. We work hard to keep our meetings to 1 hour, depending on projects and events we are currently working on. Please contact any board member for more information. 

Events
Assumption Home & School coordinates a number of experiences throughout the school year. They include:

• Subsidize Serve-ware for Hot-Lunch Service 
• Co-Host a “Back to School Picnic” with DeSales High School 
• Organize “Miles Club”, a lunch recess run/walk program in Fall & Spring
• Arrange an all school Thanksgiving Lunch
• Support Grandparents and Special Friends Day in November
• Coordinate socials for K-6 students and families
• Host Luncheons for Staff during Conferences
• Represent our school with a float entry in the Parade of Lights Christmas parade
• Plan Teacher Appreciation Week
• Donate a scholarship to be used at DeSales High School
• Offer re-investment opportunities to teachers for their classroom, such as new equipment, supplies or additional curriculum
