WWCS Booster Club Mission Statement

The WWCS Booster Club is an organization of interested adults who voluntarily assist in the furtherance of the athletic program and approved activities at the Walla Walla Catholic Schools. Working in the light of the Mission Statement of the Walla Walla Catholic School, the WWCS Booster Club works as an independent organization of the Walla Walla Catholic Schools.

The WWCS Booster Club organization provides core funding for all Irish and Irish Knight athletic teams and activities: Football, Volleyball, Cheer, Basketball, Track, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Knowledge Bowl. Your support provides each and every student the opportunity to compete at their highest level and to represent the Fighting Irish with Pride!

The DeSales Booster Club is a major supporter of all of the Irish athletic teams. Each year the Booster Club fundraises over $120,000 to help with over 20 team expenses. We provide funds for equipment, officials, uniforms...and the list goes on! This does not include the additional expenses related to post-season and state competitions, which can total over $40,000.

The Booster Club invites all the families, friends, and alumni to join and help support the students in their drive for continued excellence. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in supporting the Fighting Irish. Joining the Booster Club entitles you to our Booster Club Newsletter, which contains team information, upcoming events, and spotlights on our graduating seniors!

Function

The function of the Booster Club is:

• To foster and promote the athletic program and other approved activities associated with DeSales Catholic School.To assist and support the administration of DeSales in the execution of school's athletic program and other approved school activities.
• To raise funds for the school's athletic program and activities as approved by the Principal of DeSales.
  • To assist financially Assumption School's athletic program, as requested by its Principal and approved by the Principal of DeSales.

Membership

• Regular Membership is open to all parents of the Walla Walla Catholic Schools.
• Membership shall also be open to any adult who subscribes to the objectives of the Club and the mission of the Walla Walla Catholic Schools.
• Membership fees may be collected each year
• Family pass $200 and individual pass $80.  Booster Club Annual Sports Passes are now on sale.  They are available at the DeSales Office, by mail or at the ticket table at every home game.
• Your purchase of a WWCS Booster Club Annual Sports Pass provides the following:
  • Admission to all regular season, home athletic events for the academic year.
  • Provides financial support for the $120,000 budget which pays for our middle school and high school competitive activities; including referee fees, uniforms, equipment and facility upkeep.
  • Active membership in the WWCS Booster Club.  The WWCS Booster Club meets monthly, the 2nd Wednesday at 6:30 pm.  Active members are welcome and needed to insure our students will continue to participate in all competitive offerings; athletic and academic.
